Research Interest

Dr. Erwin has more than a decade of experience in conducting quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research to develop and improve teaching and learning methods and strategies at the state- and institutional level. Much of her research and publications to date have focused upon remedial math education, specifically the co-requisite approach to math remediation, and student success within community colleges. At the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine Dr. Erwin conducts research to assess the efficacy of the Competency-based Veterinary Education (CBVE) curriculum and various teaching methods and strategies.

Teaching Interest

Dr. Erwin currently serves as an adjunct instructor within the LSU College of Human Sciences and Education. Her teaching interests include education policy, curriculum design & assessment, and leadership in higher education.
