In fulfilling its mission to inform and educate the public on regional energy issues, the Center frequently organizes and conducts conferences, seminars, workshops and other public events on topics including power and utilities regulation, the impacts of environmental policies on industry, energy efficiency, coastal geology, and more.

 

Energy Fundamentals

Summer 2024: A two-week short course on energy and energy markets for early career professionals, professionals transitioning into energy, or those seeking advancement within their career paths in industry or government. More info.

 

Decarbonizing Louisiana's Economy: Challenges and Opportunities

Spring 2024: Workshops addressing questions regarding decarbonization investments taking place in the state, including carbon capture, utilization, and storage; renewable energy projects such as wind and solar; and hydrogen production. More info.

 

Success with 2009 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) for Louisiana Workshop

2017: A series of workshops designed to assist home builders & designers in complying with the Energy Conservation portion of the 2009 IECC.
