Day 3 of the 2024 Scholarship First tour took LSU President William F. Tate IV to New Iberia for a tour of the Conrad Rice Mill, the oldest rice mill in America.
Next up was a stop at the Cane River Pecan Pie Bar in New Iberia, owned and operated by LSU alum Jady Regard and an ideal setting for an alumni lunch. Avery Island was next on the agenda, where President Tate got a full VIP tour of the McIlhenny Company's Tabasco sauce operations.
The day wrapped up with a Bayou Region reception at the Danos Corporate Headquarters in Houma.
