Construction Management Through the Years

  • 1969- Construction Technology Classes officially begin at LSU
  • 1972- First Graduating Class of Construction Technology Program
  • 1982- LSU's Construction Management (CM) Department became accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE)
  • 1986- Louisiana Contractors Fee's established to support Construction Education in Louisiana
  • The late 1980s' - CM Department moved into the College of Engineering
  • 1997- The Louisiana State University Construction Industry Advisory Council (CIAC) was established to help build the CM Department into the premier training ground for construction managers
  • 2018- BIN Cave created as a 3-D Virtual Environment
