Biography
Petra A. Robinson, PhD is an Associate Professor in the School of Leadership & Human Resource Development and Director of Faculty Affairs & Professional Development in the College of Human Sciences & Education.
Dr. Robinson earned her PhD in Educational Administration and Human Resource Development from Texas A&M University. She has received several awards for her contributions to academia, including the LSU Distinguished Faculty Award, the Commission of Professors in Adult Education Mid-Career Award, and the Tiger Athletic Foundation Undergraduate Teaching Award.
Her research focuses on adult education methodologies, professional training strategies, and workforce skill development. She has presented at numerous national and international conferences, authored peer-reviewed journal articles, and published six books, including The Adult Learner: The Definitive Classic in Adult Education and Human Resource Development (10th ed.).
Research Interests
Dr. Petra A. Robinson maintains an active research portfolio and has published numerous articles, book chapters, and co-edited books.
