Biography
Tracey Rizzuto is the Mary Ethel Baxter Lipscomb Memorial Endowed Professor in the Louisiana State University School of Leadership and Human Resource Development. She served as Interim Director from 2021-24. Her research focuses on enhancing workplace efficiency and organizational performance through technology-driven methods, with an emphasis on expanding professional expertise and resource utilization to support change management in modern business environments. She also examines employee well-being and workplace crisis management.
Dr. Rizzuto has contributed to research supporting local and state initiatives, including workplace disaster recovery efforts, economic revitalization programs, and public safety initiatives such as the Katrina Aid and Relief Effort (KARE), the Baton Rouge Choice Initiative, and smart law enforcement programs like the Baton Rouge Area Violence Elimination (BRAVE) program and Crime Strategies Unit (CSU). She has been involved in over $20M in state and federal research grants, has published in top industry and academic journals, and her work has been featured in major media outlets including The New York Times, National Public Radio’s Market Place, and Inside Higher Ed. She was also a 2015 TEDxLSU speaker. Dr. Rizzuto earned a doctoral degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Penn State University.
